Vacation kicked off Saturday in Beirut.
Two brave colleagues from Dubai joined me.
Brave—because they’re not Lebanese.
And let’s be honest, the news doesn’t exactly scream “weekend getaway.”
But what happened next?
Music up. Windows down.
Laughter echoing through the hills.
They caught something contagious.
Not a virus—a joie de vivre.
And while they danced in the backseat, my brain kicked into risk assessment mode.
After all, I felt responsible.
So here it is:
⚠️ My Top 5 Lebanon Risks:
🔻 1. Food
If you’re on a diet—don’t come.
Knefeh, sfeeha, fresh bread, endless mezze.
The only diet here is Mediterranean.
Good luck resisting.
🔻 2. People
It starts with a smile and ends with forgetting your flight.
You’ll meet someone who laughs with their whole face, calls you out gently, and somehow makes you better.
They’re stylish, sharp, rooted in something deeper—and you’ll find yourself in love wondering:
What just happened to me?
🔻 3. Views
The smell of pine mixing with sea salt.
Villages carved into mountains.
Olive trees framing the sea.
Even the poor have million-dollar views.
You’ll want to stay.
Worse—you’ll wonder why you didn’t come sooner.
🔻 4. Life
The highest risk.
Sunsets that inspire you.
Strangers who treat you like old friends.
You’ll laugh louder. Worry less.
Lebanon teaches you there is no greater purpose than to be.
Here, you will feel more alive than you have in years.
🔻 5. Identity
This one lingers.
You’ll start to remember who you were before the world got loud.
You may even like that person more.
Yes, the region comes with real concerns—stay informed and stay safe.
But the bigger risk?
Lebanon will awaken something in you.
Live well.
Love deep.
Laugh loud.
And just be.
Come if you dare. You won’t leave the same.
